Hi, I'm Chelsea! Iām on a mission to help you find joy and goodness in every day.
On this blog we talk about the big things (like chasing dreams) and the small things (like what books we're reading) because happiness comes in all sizes.
So yeah, this month has kind of sucked. It’s been full of car wrecks and sickness and crazy unexpected bills and broken down vehicles and mean people and crappy days that you just have to cry about.
But it’s also been full of family and friends and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. It’s been full of squeezing in date nights with the love of my life and early mornings laughing together about how deliriously tired we are. It’s been full of sunsets and sunrises and cheers and dancing and remembering just how much of a privilege it is to be alive.
Sometimes life gives you lemons. And when that happens, it’s really important to stop and remember all the times that life gave you lemonade.
So bring it on. The lemons and the lemonade. Because life, no matter how full of days that make you want to scream, is really, really, really freaking beautiful. And that’s worth remembering.
Has your month been full of lemons or lemonade?

You are seriously just one big ball of radiant sunlight! I am always so inspired by your positivity even when life gets you down. You are so beautiful inside and out!
I 100% agree with you lady. I also pride myself on being extremely positive and finding the good in almost everything [minus traffic, my major attitude problem]. But, like you said, sometimes you have a bad day, or month and as sucky as it is, you know that a great month is coming along. I like to remember the lemonade, and sometimes, when it's really bad, I imagine adding some limes and tequila for a margarita ;)! Hope October is a great month!
Lemons. Lemons. Lemons. But I am so glad for this post.
So so true! I'm just like you, pride myself in being positive in optimistic. However, bad days/times are definitely a part of life and it's totally ok. September has been rough for me too but I'm finally feeling like things are turning around. Praying things look up for you too, quick! š
I hope you're feeling better soon! Glad you're looking at the bright side though.
Lemonade this month, but I swear 2013 entirely was lemons. Hang in there!
This month has been total crap for me too. It's hard to stay focused on the positive when you're just plain EXHAUSTED from the chaos. But I've got some upcoming lemonade to look forward to – so I'm clinging to that!
I agree that we should always try to find the positive point of what happens.
My month has been pretty good! I'll take the lemons and the lemonades though because that's what makes things interesting.
My month has been pretty equally divided, but I'm glad that I've faced some challenges because they've helped me to grow!
My month has been full of lemonade! But I know it's just a matter of time before the universe decides to balance things out.
I'm sorry this has been a hard month for you. I hope things get better.
hmmm a mixture of both i would say for me this month. hoping you feel better soon and lemonade is a really good drink by the way! plus sometimes you just have to say things are really stinky lately, voicing it out loud helps sometimes, it is ok to point it out
What if the month was neither? Just kind of meh. I'm glad I'm not the only feelin' it this month! Here is to hoping October is mo' betta!
I agree with Liz — my month has been "meh." In the middle of lemons and lemonade. I cannot wait for October to start though so I can push this month behind me. Thanks for the great reminder to always be positive! I needed to hear this today.
I absolutely LOVE this post. And this is now my new favorite quote. I've been feeling both. Lots of lemonade, but stuck in some ruts full of lemons. Great to know there's a fellow positive person out there who still feels the woes of the negative from time to time. But hey, that means we're human! Thanks for sharing and I'm sending pints of lemonade your way!! š
Happy Tuesday!

Things always get better. Great post!

This post was perfect for me to read after my day today, whew! Cheers to some sweet lemonade!!! XO
My mother always says to me "enjoy the highs because the lows…..are low" kinda annoying at the time but nonetheless I like your lemonade version better š
Oh I love this! I hope you have a better month in October… with no Benadryl or 8:30 bedtimes.

I love how you can be positive when everything seems to be going wrong. Here's to a better October full of nothing but lemonade!
Your posts always make me smile! I'm so sorry that the month has been so tough but man do I admire how you keep staying positive.
It's been a healthy mix of both, I really like this post though, its a strong reminder to always remember to find good within the bad!
this really spoke to me girl. My whole summer has been lemons.. And not even like ripe pretty but a little bit tart lemons, but like.. rotting slimy smelly lemons where all you can think about is how you wish you would've thought to make lemon bars out of them when they were ripe, kind of lemons. And sometimes there's just not anything you can do about it, except know that eventually things will start to get ripe again.
so many metaphors.
i really want lemon bars now.
Love that quote, and it is so so true. One of my faves is: "every day may not be good, but there is good in every day" and I try to remember that when everything seems like it sucks.
i always get nervous about september now, because a few years ago i had a bad september. i don't even remember why, really! i just remember being like, "this september is AWFUL!" fortunately, this one has been wonderful. so hopefully, you will have many septembers that are totally lemonade in the future and leave this one far far behind! š
