Hi, I'm Chelsea! I’m on a mission to help you find joy and goodness in every day.
On this blog we talk about the big things (like chasing dreams) and the small things (like what books we're reading) because happiness comes in all sizes.
GOOD MORNING IT IS 55 DEGREES OUTSIDE.
Now, maybe to you that doesn’t warrant all-caps enthusiasm, but Florida doesn’t do fall weather, so I am ALL CAPS EXCITED OVER HERE.
I’ve got the windows open, my Autumn in New York station playing, and (more) pumpkin coffee brewing. Hello, is this heaven?
Speaking of heaven, after a week of vacation I’m pretty positive that reading on a beach with no plans is what I want my retirement plan to be. I read three books, and my mini-reviews are:
Moving on.. I had a halloween party last weekend, and I ordered TWO costumes (you know, in case one didn’t come on time) and neither one of them came on time! So I bought some sparkly stuff and a unicorn headband at Target, and did a little DIY costume for $12. I ended up loving it!
And speaking of parties, tomorrow is my staff fall party and one of my favorite nights of the year! I can’t wait to share pictures. Last year I was a cactus (so cute) who accidentally infected my whole family with the worst stomach flu I’ve ever had (not cute). So definitely hoping this year goes a liiiiitle better. The bar is low, guys, the bar is low.
Happy Wednesday! I hope you have the best day and rest of the week!

Aww can’t wait to see your pictures! Have the best time and enjoy this weather also!
thanks, friend! It was so much fun.
Lock all your doors sounds like something I’d love! I saw the unicorn accessories at Target last night, such a quick and easy idea! Enjoy this weather 🙂
okay you need to read it!!
Mrs. Everything was SO good.
Oh my gosh. It gave me alllll the feelings (clearly, haha)
Oooh. Hope you have (had?) so much fun at the work party!! I read The Art of Racing In the Rain while on the beach. And during that vacation my parents’ family dog passed away. I was NOT ok. I walked into the ocean and bawled and then told everyone I got salt water in my eyes. LOL
hahaha! That book BROKE me so I can only imagine!!
I’m so glad Florida finally got the memo and you guys are getting cooler weather! That’s one of the many things I love about living in South Carolina (I’m almost in NC!) our fall begins mid October.
It was SHORT lived. It’s back to the 90s today. So jealous of your fall weather!
HAHA what a low bar that as long as you avoid catching/sharing any flu germs, it’ll be a successful party. Hoping you & the fam are all healthy and had a blast!! 😉
GREAT NEWS: I didn’t infect anyone! haha it was so much fun – best party yet!
