Check it Out!
What I'm Learning
Hi, I'm Chelsea! I’m on a mission to help you find joy and goodness in every day.
On this blog we talk about the big things (like chasing dreams) and the small things (like what books we're reading) because happiness comes in all sizes.
I’m back from a week of vacation, and just going to be honest: I am BUMMED about having to go back to real life.
My real life is great, buuuut I would 1000% rather be laying on the beach today instead. Plus, there’s just so much laundry to do after vacation.
I was laying in bed debating on whether to snooze my alarm or get up this morning, and the most random thing popped in my head. My whole family used to watch Biggest Loser together (typing that is hilarious because I have no idea why we were so into it??) and I remember one time a trainer was talking to someone regarding their workout:
Apparently 12 year old me stuck that away somewhere and I’m kind of glad, because I needed that today.
So, that’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to do it anyway. And we’re going to do it right.
We’re going to show up for work (because we have to), and we’re going to give it our best (because we’re good people). We’re going to work out (because we need to), and we’re going to find it in ourselves to be happy about it (because we’re lucky to be able to move our bodies). We’re going to work on our goals (because YES WE ARE) and we’re going to be proud of ourselves for not skipping out on the importing work (because our dreams are worth fighting for, even when there’s 87 loads of laundry to be done).
Are we going to need gallons of coffee? Yes. Are we gonna have to fight down our own sour attitudes a little bit? Also yes.
But life is too freaking short to be in a bad mood about laundry or to be grumpy the whole time we’re on a walk or to sit on facebook instead of writing that book or recording that podcast.
We have things to do this week.
We’re going to do them anyway.
And we’re going to do them right.
