Hi, I'm Chelsea! I’m on a mission to help you find joy and goodness in every day.
On this blog we talk about the big things (like chasing dreams) and the small things (like what books we're reading) because happiness comes in all sizes.
Holy accidental hiatus, batman.
I didn’t plan to take so much time off, but I did, so I’m jumping back in the best way I know how – catching up with a cup of coffee.
Two things:
All of my attention has been on Jack and trying to keep my head afloat (AKA, work my job while my four year old was at home full time) and then also pepper in things like, I don’t know, eating, showering, that kind of thing.
Then he went back to school, the world caught on fire, and all of my focus has been on listening and learning instead of creating. I’m nowhere near ready to stop the listening and learning, but I am ready to add back in the creating.
Things that have happened since we last talked:
What about you? What have the last few weeks looked like on your end?
Cheers. I missed you. xo

It has been crazy trying to navigate taking care of the kid AND getting your full time gig taken care of too, right?? I need a haircut so bad. I feel like I would feel like a new woman too. Good for you recognizing when you needed to take a break from some things. We have to take care of ourselves!
SO crazy! All the more reason to take care of ourselves. PS: GET YOUR HAIR CUT! You deserve it!!
Like everything is just so weird. Still. Has been. Will continue I guess.
I blog a week, take a week or two off, put up a blog post, then reply to comments from a month and a half ago… I’m all over the place, too. Surviving > thriving. Lol. We’ll get through it but you’re 100% right that one’s mental health is a necessity. So glad Jack is back in school! Good job surviving those 70+ days, Mama!
My husband and I drove to SC to spend a week with my family while still working from home. (Home is anywhere with an Internet connection right now!). Then we stayed at our actual home for two weeks before driving to Ohio to spend a week with my in-laws, again working from home. Everything is still weird and stressful, but I’m taking time to appreciate all of my blessings right now.
