February Bright Spots + Favorite Things.
February bright spots:
Getting to visit a sweet friend I hadn’t seen in three years. || Big fan of friendships that remain unchanged by time and distance.
Being able to go shopping with my best friend because she lives in my town now! || And buying an array of obnoxious earrings and sunglasses (AKA my summer uniform).
Jack making valentine’s for all his friends in class. || And by Jack, I mean me. And by me, I mean he barked very specific orders for for each valentine and I followed them. He was very particular. Like, throw that whole thing away mom because Griffin doesn’t like blue, only orange. When I dropped him off at school I was making a joke with his teacher about it and she, IN FULL SERIOUSNESS, said, “Well he’s right, Griffin hates blue.” So. There’s that.
Discovering Dillard’s Clearance center with my mom. || HOW HAVE I LIVED MY LIFE WITHOUT KNOWING ABOUT THIS MAGICAL PLACE?! Everything Dillard’s doesn’t sell gets shipped here, meaning you get brand new things for like 50-80% off. I will only be shopping here from now on, thank you.
Making more time to read. || I’m just a happier person when I spend more time reading.
Favorite things I discovered:
Halo Top blueberry cobbler ice cream. || Oh my GRACIOUS this is delicious. It’s a healthier alternative than full fat, full sugar ice cream, but honestly I can’t tell a difference. It is so freaking good.
This face wash. || Magic. I saw Jenn from The Sister’s studio recommend this and thought I’d give it a try. SO GOOD. It’s cleared my skin up a lot!
Dillard’s Clearance Center. || See above. Then look up if you have one near you!
These mermaid nails. || These have brought me SO MUCH JOY. They also stayed on through shopping, a hot tub, and cleaning my bathtub. So, they’re winners.

I do NOT have a Dillard’s Clearance Center and I’m not ok with that.
i JUST bought those nails too, i haven’t put them on yet. I’m wondering if I can put them on my super short natural nails, or if my natural nails need to be a little longer….?

I WISH my bffs lived closer. One lives in town but between marriage, two kids, and a full time job we don’t see each other a ton. The other friend lives two hours away and the other in Tampa. SIGH.
We have a Dillard’s Clearance Center and I haven’t been yet! I need to go. Yay for your friend living in town now! I miss mine who lives in Texas, but always fun when she visits!

Mermaid nails were made for you!!! And I am a HUGE fan of all things clearance, so way to go on that Dillard’s find. (Also, I LOVE that Jack knows his classmates so well that he knew what they’d like on their Valentine’s.)
