January Bright Spots

Something I started doing this year is adding a space in my journal for “bright spots” – a high point from the day. It’s been so nice to reflect on all the good, and I highly recommend it. Here are some of my January bright spots:

My best friend moved to Gainesville. || Cannot EVEN believe this is real life. I’m telling you – it feels like God knew the year I had last year, and He made sure this one would be an unbelievably good one right from the very start.

Jack turned four. || And was VERY concerned that he wouldn’t get any presents because we took the Christmas tree down.

I got in to SUZY SCHOOL! || Okay, so this technically happened in December, but I got all the details in January, so I’m counting it. I am so freaking pumped. I know I’m on the right path to were I’m supposed to be.

I felt allll the motivation with the new year. || Big dreams, big plans, big work!

I had an amazing book month. || Click here to see all the good stuff I read this month.

Was very thankful I had heat. || Florida got COLD. Like, for real cold, not Florida cold. It’s not been fun, but I’m so thankful we have good heat!

Got back on the hot tea train and discovered some delicious new ones. || Probably had something to do with the frozen tundra we’ve been living in.

Made big progress on some personal goals. || Slow and steady wins the race, but it’s nice to see concrete proof every now and then that the slow and steady is actually working.
