What I'm Learning
Hi, I'm Chelsea! I’m on a mission to help you find joy and goodness in every day.
On this blog we talk about the big things (like chasing dreams) and the small things (like what books we're reading) because happiness comes in all sizes.
I’d tell you that forgiveness is the healthiest choice you can make for yourself. || Forgiveness is NOT saying “it’s okay!” It’s not flinging the door open and letting someone back into your life. It is simply a choice to let go, to stop dwelling on what happened, and to move on in your own happiness, because you deserve peace.
I’d tell you how important it is to support your friends. || This looks different in every season of life. This time three years ago, my friends were lucky if they got a supportive text from me, because new babies are hard, y’all. But this last weekend, I was able to help support a friend in a big, face-to-face way. There’s a million steps and seasons in between, and wherever you are, there’s a way to support your people. It doesn’t have to be a giant gesture, but they need to know you’re rooting for them.
I’d tell you to remember that you can start over whenever you need to. || Fell off the wagon with your workouts? Cool, start over today. Haven’t even started on that goal you set for November? That’s fine, start today. Don’t wait for a Monday, or the first of the month, or a new year. Start over whenever and wherever you need to.
I’d tell you to drink your freakin’ water. || I’m coming off of a busy weekend where I did not drink NEARLY enough water, and three days later, my body is still letting me know how not okay it is. It’s seriously so easy to do and makes you feel so much better. Just DO IT.
I’d tell you that it’s okay if you don’t love all the parts of yourself yet. || It’s okay if you don’t love your thighs or the way your voice sounds on the phone or how easily your anxiety kicks into overdrive. If you’re simply trying to be accepting of yourself, you’re already doing a great job.
