This is absolutely precious. I met my husband at a Christmas party 7 years ago (while I was on a first date with someone else, so scandalous!). That last Christmas before the baby comes is so special. I loved it. All day I kept thinking about what the baby would be like at Christmas, what she would look like, what presents we would get her. It was so nice to bask in the calmness and happiness of just the two of us while preparing for the third.

Just wait until next year when you celebrate Christmas with your baby boy! You'll want to write back to yourself *again* and say, oh darling, but it does get better! Christmas with children is… Amazing.
Also, I get the whole big belly thing. Haha!

I love this post! We have celebrated six Christmases together and this will be our seventh!! I make my husband a little collage every year for our dating anniversary which is only a few days before Christmas and it is something so special to look back on. I love sentimental things like that. I cannot believe your little one is almost here!

What beautiful memories! I knew my husband for a few months at age 15, our first date was on New Years Day 1966 and we've been married since 1970. Two sons and five grandchildren later, we love Christmas just as much if not more than our early days. Wishing you both a joyous Christmas and a wonderful 2016 (and life) with your new arrival. πŸ™‚
